Scottish Competition Success for Walsall Squad Members
On Sunday 18th October, five members of Walsall Karate Dojo were competing at the JKS Scottish Championships as part of the JKS England team. We are extremely proud to announce that they came away with three Golds, one Slver and one Bronze. Here are the medalists:
Gold
Amber Bannister - Female (13-15 Yrs) Black and Brown Kumite
Amber Bannister - Female (13-15 Yrs) Black and Brown Kata
Amber Bannister - Team Kata (U16 Yrs) - With Lacie Stembridge and Sarah Howarth
Silver
Lewis Bradbury - Male (16-18 Yrs) Black and Brown Kumite
Bronze
Tanya Handley - Female (Over 19 Yrs) Black and Brown Kumite
A special mention must go to Amber for winning all three events selected for and becoming Grand Champion for a second year running. A superb achievement.
Well done also to Millie Stanley and Sydney McAleenan-Marks from the dojo who were also part of the team but didn't medal on this occasion.
Great preparation for the JKS English Nationals, the final competition of 2015, in two weeks time in Nottingham.
