On Sunday 20th May we had fifteen members travel to the York Karate Kids Championships at the lovely setting of Sandburn Hall on the outskirts of York.

The team included nine squad members and six non-squad members representing the dojo for the first time, having qualified through the recent competitions skills courses held at the dojo. Here are the competitors who were part of the team:

Graciela Amulong, Gabriel Angeles, Karanjeet Basran, Frankie Carless, Warrick Howarth, Joshua Meade, Aylah Milligan, Freya Milligan, Louis Mills, Ciprian Nicolae, Darius Rahmati, Maisie Sears, Benjamin Stanley, Joseph Stanley, Angelo Villanueva

The performances of every single team member were superb whether they medalled or not. Nobody let themselves down and we saw many personal best performances as well as a huge amount of potential from the newbies who all fitted in well. The camaraderie was superb.

As ever, thank you to all family members and friends who went along to support the team and a big thank you to Paul Stanley for helping Steve Carless coach on the day.
