On Sunday 9th June Walsall Karate Dojo welcomed the  young JKS instructor Jake Pointer Sensei 4th Dan. Jake is a very talented full time instructor based at the Traditional Karate and Fitness goup of clubs in Norwich. He is the current JKS European Heavyweight and Open Kumite champion.

Jake delivered four superb courses at the dojo, Junior beginners, Senior beginners to 8th Kyu, 7th Kyu to 2nd Kyu and 1st Kyu to Dan grades. We had a very good attendance yet again despite many of our squad members away competing in Penrith at the Cumbrian Open championships on the same day. The feedback from all participants has been extremely positive. A special thank you to everyone who took time our of their weekend to train on the course. We thank Jake Sensei for taking the time to visit us in Walsall.

There was also a kyu grading with Steven Carless Sensei 6th Dan JKS at the conclusion of the first two courses. Congratulations to the eighty seven students who were successful. For those that didn't quite make it this time, work hard on the feedback given and come back stronger!

Yet again another fabulous day at the dojo.
