JKS World Cup Success!
Walsall Karate Dojo members Karanjeet and Bella who had the honour of representing England at the recent JKS World Cup which was held in Toyko, Japan during the summer break on 25th and 26th July.
Karanjeet was competing in individual Kata where he had a super run, just losing out in the semi final stage so unfortunately no medal but never the less a great performance. He was also part of the JKS England mens team kata team.
Bella has a championships to remember winning a bronze medal in cadets (16-17) female kumite beating the Japanese competitor on the way! She then went on as part of the JKS England 16-17 female kumite team to win the Gold medal - World Champions! She was also competing in indivudual kata.
Anyone who has competed internationally in Karate knows how prestigious it us to be involved in a championships in Japan! Its an experience that will live with them forever and something to be very proud of. They will only grow as karateka and people as a result and will be stronger for the experience.
Well done Karanjeet and Bella!
