Medal success for Walsall Karate Dojo
On Sunday 18th June we had a team entered into the JKS England Novice and Intermediate Championships held in Harrogate, North Yorkshire.
The championshsips were for those with little or no competitive experience who put themselves forward to experience competitive karate. We are always looking for new members of the elite squad and this is a great gateway to that.
The camaraderie was superb and we are very proud of everyone who stepped on the tatami!
As ever, thank you to everyone who attended whether you were a competitor, coach or supporter.
A special mention has to go to Ryan Waterfield, who was in the biggest event of the day in Kumite with 36 competitors. He won 6 fights convincingly to take the title. An amazing day for this young man!
Overall we finished with a very credible 2 Gold, 2 Silver and 3 Bronze medals. Congratulations to all medalists:
