JKS England Nationals Success
On Sunday 20th November Walsal Karate Dojo had a massive day yesterday with a large squad at the 2022 JKS England National Championships in Nottingham.
For many it was only their first or second experience of competiting and everyone acquitted themselves superbly on the mat. Their were some superb performances and whether you got a medal or not, which was very difficult, we are extremely proud of you for putting in the extra effort leading up to the championships and on the day itself. For the more experienced and elite competitors its was the final outing of 2022, the first year back after the pandemic. You were an inspiration to the newer members and showed terrific support for them during the day. A massive thank you to Mark Turner, Paul Stanley, Tanya Barratt and Anthony Wilkes for coaching and to Steve Clarke, Kevin Sheridan and Joanne WIlkes for helping out the federation by officiating on the day. Finally a big thank you to all family members and friends who came along to support the team.
I am so proud to announce that we eventually came away with an amazing 7 Gold, 8 Silver and 10 Bronze medals. Congratulations to all medalists:
